Councilor Tripp Torah represents the Warlock Guild on The Council of Gothika, making him both the youngest and one of the most inexperienced members of the city’s governing body. A Half-Goblin with bright eyes, disheveled charm, and an awkward smile that never quite reaches his eyes, Tripp is known as much for his nervous energy as for his raw magical potential.

The illegitimate child of a traveling bard and a Goblin street merchant, Tripp grew up in the alleys of Industrion Landing, far removed from the gilded halls of power. His entry into the Warlock Guild came not through privilege but through pact magic—a desperate deal struck in his teenage years with an unknown, possibly dangerous patron whose identity he keeps tightly guarded.

To many on the Council, Tripp appears untested, overly idealistic, and easily swayed—a pawn in waiting. He is often pressured or manipulated by stronger personalities, particularly those with hidden agendas. Despite this, Tripp possesses a genuine desire to do good, though he struggles with the moral complexity of his own power and the weight of decisions far beyond his experience.

He currently serves as Deputy Chair of Magical Oversight, a mostly ceremonial position that involves monitoring the use of pact magic and eldritch research—a cruel irony given his own secret reliance on those very forces.

Hidden Secrets & Intrigue:

Unknown Patron: Tripp’s warlock powers come from a mysterious celestial being—or so he believes. In truth, his patron may be something far darker, possibly connected to the same cosmic forces behind Rize or the corruption of the Sun Kingdom.

Easily Manipulated: He is quietly being courted by both Lyric Santos (genuine mentorship) and Dr. Richard Moore (subtle corruption)—and doesn’t yet realize the stakes of either.

Hidden Ambition: Beneath his anxious, sweet surface, there is a buried hunger for acceptance, admiration, and control, which could be twisted into something much darker if the right buttons are pushed.

Tripp lives in a modest apartment above a potion shop in Elysia Park and is known for his love of comic books, amateur swordplay, and incredibly bad cooking. He is unmarried but has a hopeless crush on a fellow Warlock Guild apprentice who barely notices him.
